Chinatown Street Markets

Date: First Saturday of every month.

Time: 4pm – 9.30pm

Location: Gold Coast Chinatown, Young and Davenport Streets, Southport.
Gold Coast has its very own Chinatown which occurs on the first Saturday of every month. Come and try a selection of Asian dishes including pork buns, dumplings, karaage and sugarcane juice as the streets of Southport light up for a fantastic night for the whole family.

Visitors to Chinatown can also check out some amazing performances such as martial art demonstrations, lion dancing and traditional music which takes place throughout the night. You can also find the carefully carved statue of Confucius, the great Chinese philosopher which was donated by the people of Jining City, a sister city of the Gold Coast.

The Gold Coast attracts more than 350,000 Asian tourists every year and with previous attendances to the markets reaching up to 8000 people, Chinatown is popular destination for both locals and tourists.
